What is Rotaract?

Rotaract clubs are organizations that enhance the knowledge and skills of their members for personal development, respond to the physical and social needs of communities, and provide opportunities for young people to build better relationships among all people in the world within a framework of friendship and service.

In Rotaract clubs, the development of services aimed at community, international, and professional development is encouraged through individual and team work, while young people's personal and leadership development is ensured.

President's Message

SELIN CELEN
Çekirge Rotaract President for the 2025-2026 Term

Dear Rotaract Family,

In the 2025-2026 term, Çekirge Rotaract Club, guided by the principle of "Unite for Good," continues its work centered on social benefit, uniting around our shared values. In line with Rotaract's core principles, our club plans and implements its activities based on a sense of responsibility, ethical approach, and sustainable impact.

In all our projects and activities, we operate under the guidance of the Fourfold Self-Assessment principle; we strive to ensure that every decision we make is correct, fair, beneficial to everyone involved, and leaves lasting impacts. This principle is not merely an evaluation tool; it is a guiding principle that forms the foundation of our club culture.

Rotary's seven priority areas define the framework of our work; in these areas, ranging from community service to the environment, from peace to youth empowerment, we aim to create meaningful and sustainable impact. In every project we undertake, we aim to meet the needs of today while leaving value for the future.

Another fundamental priority for our club is to create a structure where trust-based relationships are strengthened, a culture of solidarity is embraced, and collaborative production is valued. With a supportive and inclusive club approach that brings together diverse perspectives towards common goals, we prioritize carrying out projects that impact not only the present but also the future.

It is a great honor and responsibility for me to preside over this club. I believe that the dedicated efforts of our board of directors and committee chairpersons will play a significant role in achieving our club's goals. Together, guided by the principle of "Unite for Good," we are determined to lead a period that creates value, has a strong impact, and serves as an example. On this occasion, I would like to thank the members of the board of directors and the committee chairpersons who share this responsibility with me.

In light of the fundamental values of our Republic, we continue on our path with an understanding that we benefit society, act with a sense of responsibility, and strengthen the Rotaract spirit.

With deepest Rotaract love and respect.

Our Seven

Priority Areas

example 5.png

Basic Education and Literacy

Globally, 775 million children under the age of 15 lack access to education. This represents 17% of the world's adult population. We support access to basic education and literacy, reduce gender inequality in education, and increase adult literacy.

Example 6.png

Economic and Social Development

Approximately 800 million unemployed people live on less than $1.90 a day. We help to promote economic and social development and create opportunities that empower individuals and entire communities economically.

example 7.png

Environmental Protection and Support

The environment is the physical, biological, social, economic, and cultural setting in which humans and other living beings maintain their relationships and interact with each other throughout their lives. Our goal is to protect and support this environment in a healthy way.

Peace and Conflict Resolution

Strengthening peace efforts supports the creation of long-term peace in conflict-affected regions. The Rotary Peace Centers program trains leaders who will act as catalysts for local and global peace and conflict resolution.

Example 2.png

Disease Prevention and Treatment

Our health is everything, yet today 400 million people worldwide lack access to basic healthcare. We believe that everyone has a right to good healthcare. Disease results in misery, suffering, and poverty for millions of people around the world. That is why treating and preventing disease is so important to us.

example 3.png

Clean Water and Hygiene

Clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education are essential needs for a healthy environment and a productive life. When people have access to clean water and sanitation, waterborne diseases decrease, children stay healthier and attend school more regularly, and mothers waste less water and can spend more time helping their families.

example 4.png

Maternal and Child Health

Rotary provides high-quality healthcare to vulnerable mothers and children, enabling them to live longer and stronger. We expand access to quality services so that mothers and children everywhere can have the same opportunities for a healthy future.
